Andrew Anyaegbunam

Andrew Chijioke Anyaegbunam is a seasoned investment and portfolio management leader with over 16 years of executive and senior management experience across multiple sectors. He began his career at Emerging Capital Ltd (now Planet Capital Ltd), gaining foundational expertise in stockbroking and client relationship management within investment banking. At 7Up Bottling Plc, Andrew was instrumental in pioneering an indirect sales business model for Lagos and Apapa, which was later adopted nationwide.

His passion for investment banking led him to Meristem Securities, where he developed tailored wealth management solutions, including the innovative Meristem Diaspora Trust, addressing the investment needs of Nigerians abroad. Andrew also held leadership roles at Imperial Asset Managers Ltd, Fundvine Capital and Securities Limited, and Fortress Capital Limited, sharpening his skills in securities trading, advisory, and strategic operations.

Since 2020, Andrew has been with Fidelity Pension Managers Limited, initially as Portfolio Manager and Team Lead, and now as Head of Investment, overseeing an asset under management (AUM) exceeding ₦342 billion. He combines deep market knowledge with strategic vision to deliver sustainable growth and value to pension fund clients.

Andrew holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School’s Senior Management Programme and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. Currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Economics, Andrew is committed to continuous learning and professional excellence.
